ACADEMIC DEGREES
Obtaining the doctoral or master’s degree is the main objective that drives our students to continue and complete their studies in the programs offered by the Graduate School. Therefore, guidelines are set forth to secure high quality education and ensure that graduates comply with all requirements established for obtaining the academic degree through a thesis or research work.
THESIS DEFENSE
Requirements for the master’s degree
- Completed current curriculum of the selected master’s program
- Proven knowledge of a foreign or native language
- Approved thesis or research work defense
Requirements for the doctoral degree
- Completed current curriculum of the selected doctoral program
- Proven knowledge of two foreign languages, or one foreign language and one native language
- Approved thesis defense

Blogs have key facts by specialization, offering useful, valuable and quality information to the public. Topics addressed herein foster the exchange of opinions and spread knowledge.
LIBRARY
It provides top-notch information resources for research, learning, and teaching. Moreover, it facilitates online guidance about APA citation, resources for admitted applicants, and educational modules for information management. The 60+ databases allow to serve undergraduate and graduate students, offering online consultation services, BiblioChat, and support for research through specialized products and services.
INSTITUTIONAL REPOSITORY
Created with the purpose of preserving and disseminating scientific, academic, intellectual and cultural production of Ulima Community, as well as technical and scientific documents from interinstitutional agreements. This initiative is part of a set of actions focused on contributing towards the country’s development by using digital tools that facilitate both information access and dissemination.
JOURNAL PORTAL
Scholarly open access e-repository that organizes, preserves, disseminates, and internationalizes intellectual outputs from the different Ulima journals. Research and dissemination articles address topics around humanities, science, and technology.
PUBLISHING FUND
Its mission is to publish works that reflect the intellectual outputs and research conducted by professors, as well as outstanding productions in academic events. The goal is to reach the community through the dissemination of ideas and knowledge obtained from the different disciplines taught in the University.
