COUNSELING PROGRAM
Objective
The Counseling Program offers academic and personal support to students who are academically at risk during their first two terms.
General Guidelines
The counselor is a professor from the General Studies Program specifically trained for this role. They provide comprehensive counseling to help students develop the competencies needed to overcome academic challenges. Counselors focus on building close relationships and monitoring progress through regular meetings. If necessary, students will be referred to the Psychopedagogical Counseling Department.

ACADEMIC TUTORING
The Academic Tutoring Program offers personalized assistance to students who want to resolve academic issues or doubts. This service is available during each academic term.

ACTIVITIES
DIVERGENCES
The Debate Tournament "Divergencias" is the perfect avenue for students to test their public speaking skills while analyzing current issues. It promotes the conscious, innovative and solidary civic education through the analysis and elaboration of proposed solutions to the current problems affecting the society and the whole planet. This tournament has two phases during the entire year. The first phase is in Academic Term 1, while the second phase is in Academic Term 2. Winners from both terms discuss in the final. It also has the support of advisors and experts in public speaking, who guide students based on their topic for discussion.
Audience
Students from the General Studies Program. Students who do not wish to participate in the tournament can collaborate in workshops and teams. We will issue a certificate of participation.

RULES
- On a voluntary basis, enrolled students will form teams (six members or more).
- Each team will choose a captain, who will lead and represent the team during coordination activities with the Organizing Committee.
- Each team will feature a professor, who will monitor performance and provide support on public speaking, leadership, and academic topics.
- Debates are conducted based on topics chosen by lot (for and against).
- Decision is unappealable and determined by a jury and public vote.

CONVERGENT CLASSROOM
Convergent classroom goes beyond the concept of traditional classroom. It offers speeches led by professors about specific topics of a certain subject. This approach allows students to understand the topic from different perspectives, learn in an innovative and significantly way, encourage critical thinking, and promote the exchange of ideas and discussions among students, professors, and special guests.

SUPPORTIVE STUDENT
The workshop "Estudiante Solidario", in charge of the Peruvian Brigade of Volunteer Firefighters, trains students to effectively respond to emergency situations. This workshop includes first aid training, handling of portable fire extinguishers, and elaboration of evacuation plans.

Learning to Research
The exhibition "Aprendiendo a Investigar" offers students the chance to be selected to present their final projects of the Research Methodologies subject. The goal is to promote academic research. Posters that are shared during this exhibition address the current issues of our society, stand out for its relevance and scope, and promote a research culture among students.

MINDFULNESS, MEDITATION AND COFFEE
"Cavilando con Café" is a series of exhibitions about different topics, which has been created to become a space for conversation among professors of the General Studies Program. The goal is to promote dialogue and exchange of knowledge, in order to reflect and share different point of views.
