Students’ Projects Were Exhibited in the II Research Expo 2019-1 Organized by the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program
On April 22, Óscar Quezada Macchiavello, president of Universidad de Lima, presented the Second Research Expo, organized by the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program, at the hall of Building V, with the presence of students, leadership and other members from the Ulima community.
Students’ projects included research that were conducted for the subjects of Geology, Concrete Technology and Graphic Engineering I and II, and were focused on issues such as science, sustainability and innovation.
The ceremony was also attended by Alexandre Almeida, director of the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program, and Jaime León, vice president of Universidad de Lima, who awarded the winners.
The top four research projects were: “Evolution of design tools in civil construction” (Graphic Engineering I) by students José Azañero Sotomayor, Juan Pablo Cedrón Marín and Lidia Rivero Solano; “BIM in the United States” (Graphic Engineering II) by José Vidal Quiroz, Rafael Rengifo Fuentes and Alonso Salazar Araujo; “Analysis on the construction of the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai in relation to the field of geology” (Geology) by Rayza Alejo Saavedra, Saskia Arévalo Bardález, Rodrigo Espinoza Ita and Rodrigo Rosales Pederzoli; and “Concrete resistant to high sulfate exposure” (Concrete Technology) by José Atencia Vílchez, Eimi Canahualpa Nakamatsu, Kassandra Seclén Vásquez, and Rodrigo Tuesta Schuler.
This event aims to develop research and analysis skills in students, as well as open spaces for the dissemination of these initiatives. Exhibition will be available until April 26.
